Artwork

As though there are not enough hours in the day after spending most of it outside with our equines, there are times that the artist in me must make an appearance...usually in the WINTER when it's just too cold to go outside! Here are a few prints that I have created, and thought you might enjoy them or know someone who does. They are limited editions that are signed and numbered, and come with a certificate of authenticity. Shipping and Handling are included in the price. Checks and money orders are accepted, but please allow time for your personal check to clear before recieving your print.
Thanks!
Cathy

This beautiful giclee' print on archival paper is a head study of the magnificant Andalusion stallion, Tortolillo, sire of our new colt, Intrepido MC. Right after this piece was finished, I learned that this extroidinary stallion had died a tragic death. We were devastated of this news because we had hoped to breed him to our Saddlebred mares, but were elated to find that the owner had bred five of her best Andalusian mares to him before his untimely demise. Our colt, Intrepido MC is only one of two colts that Tortolillo sired, and he is a bittersweet reminder of a stallion that we did not know very long, but found his way into our hearts just the same.

Anyone who has ever seen the antics of raccoons knows that they are not to be outdone. This giclee' print was inspired by an incredibly curious raccoon that used to come visit us on the deck of our house . . . in the middle of the night. It didn't matter what was out there, but invariably there would be a metal pan involved, and when that raccoon found it, that's when the "music" began! We supposed that he figured if he turned the pan upside down enough and clanged it about enough, eventuallly food would fall out. Always disappointed, he would wander away, only to return the next night to noisily check again.
